Marquis, I named several national conventions that were primarily SciFi/Fantasy rather than historical. No they are not in the northeast but do not have to be to be a national event.

In regards to size. These have traditionally been a lot LARGER than the HMGS shows. Dragoncon in Atlanta, GenCon. Origins (though I think that the level of historicals is growing at that one).

Rudy, for some reason I could see your response on the news item page, but not here in the thread?? The bug strikes again!

Anyways, the point I am making is that it had been suggested on this thread that the large scale HGMS East cons should remove Sci-Fi gaming in order to return to a more Historical bent, and that removal of these non Historical games/traders would free up more space.

I simply asked for someone (anyone!) to suggest the alternative large game con in the HGMS East catchment area that us dissposesed Sci-Fi gamers could then take our money too…

So far no-one (including yourself) has managed to do so. Informing me that there are a) big mainstream Sci-Fi cons which *might* cater to a wargammers needs, and b) that there are large Sci-Fi miniatures cons in other parts of the country (in Ohio, Georgia, and Indiana), is not really helpful, or directly related to my question.

I belong to HGMS East – I attend the cons – I spend my money – I want to game many sytems.

That's it.
