Capitan Games of Capitan Games Ltd. writes:

Trireme Commander

Trireme Commander is the ancient version of our well-known Napoleonic tactical naval rules Gunboat – Squadron Commander. Players of SC will find it very easy to play Trireme Commander, as both rulesets share many of the same rules and concepts, with the adaptation to the ancient naval combat that was more a brutal melee of impacting galleys and a crush of warriors on the unstable decks, trying to defeat their enemies with the same weapons that they used as legions or phalanxes.

Trireme Commander is a game of tactical naval combat, focused on the simulation of combat between small fleets of galleys, rather than great naval engagements.

Fleets of Galleys

We have released three different types of 10mm Galleys. Each type of galley can have multiple combinations of rails, bows and prows. The ships are a Hemiola type, a Birreme type, and a Trireme type. In about a month, a new series of 10mm crews will be available, including Republican Roman, Carthaginian, Syracusan, Macedonian and Pirates.

Capitan Games Will be at Broadside on Sunday, 14th June

We will be at the Broadside Wargames Show, by Milton Hundred Wargames Club, at Sallows Leisure Centre, Sittingbourne, Kent. We will be on stand TL12, and we shall be presenting our new Trireme Commander rules and ship kits at the show.

See the Broadside Official Webpage

With the invaluable help of Southend Wargames Club, we will display a demo game using our tactical Napoleonic rules, Gunboat – Squadron Commander, in combination with our company-level rules, Company Commander, of the Siege of Rosas 1808. The game will be on table G12.

For all customers there that buy any of our miniatures or rules, we will do a special 15% discount.
