Rebekah Tharpe has informed the hobby community of the death of her husband, James Tharpe, earlier this month.
A musician and an artist, James is best known in the wargaming community as the founder of Dark Hold Miniatures - "20mm metal fantasy miniatures, designed for wargamers."
After Dark Hold shut down, the figure line was picked up by Rebel Minis.
"James was a very kind man with great ideas, ahead of his time and a true believer in 20mm figures," writes Duane Fleck of Syr Hobbs Wargames. "His last projects were 20mm Modern Liberation Russians. I am glad that I was able to get some of his figures and I will miss him."
