What a novel idea (excuse the pun). This looks very impressive and a worthy alternative to figures. I will have to investigate this some more. Thanks.

Wargame Vault announces the availability of:

U.S. Limbered Artillery – PB3.32

US Limbered Artillery

Publisher: Billy Bones Workshop

This set for Paper Battles: American Civil War depicts U.S. field artillery limbers and caissons, on the move, deployed, and damaged (please note that one of the "damaged" caissons is also used in the C.S.A. Limbered Artillery set).

The ACW Paper Battles set is stylized to be evocative of the period – in this case, blurry 19th Century sepia photographs. As with all PB:ACW sets, both small scale (figure height approximately 10-15mm on 40mm x 20mm bases) and large scale (figure height approximately 20-25mm on 60mm x 30mm bases) are included.

A full six-horse limber with gun in the background, deployed caissons and unhitched horse team in foreground.

Deployed caissons and unhitched horse team.

Please note there is no scenery in this set – it is available as a free download from Wargame Vault.

There are nine PDF files, all designed to print on both U.S. Letter and International A4 paper using Adobe Reader. To ensure they print at the correct size, you must choose your paper size and then select "Actual Size" from the "Page Sizing and Handling" section of Adobe Reader's print menu. To ensure the image is centered, you may also have to select "Auto Portrait/Landscape."

The construction of the pieces in this set is similar to the English Civil War set – please visit my website at Billy Bones Workshop for a guide.

Price: $3.00 USD
