We have a bunch of great new releases scheduled for 2018. Here, we are just going to focus on one of the armies coming out for our Stalingrad range: Winter Romanians.
The Third and Fourth Romanian Armies took part in the Battle of Stalingrad protecting the flanks of the German Sixth Army. Nearly a quarter of a million Romanian troops suffered horrendous losses when the Soviets launched their counter-offensive in November 1942. The two Romanian armies were effectively destroyed, and the defeat ended Romania's ability to mount offensive operations for the duration of the war.
The first phase of the release will be 24 figures sporting various bits of equipment, headgear and footwear to show how troops would scavenge and improvise just to keep warm! The second release will include support weapons.
