I've just added my annual review of the past twelve months and the projected release schedules for 2012 to the Baccus site.
Rather than put the whole lot here, I've opted to concentrate on what may or may not be coming from Baccus in the course of the year.
Ottoman Turks. Yes, really. Honestly. The first releases will be out soon. Honest!
The Napoleonic ranges will get some new faces as we tackle the allied contingents for 1815. First out of the blocks will be the Brunswickers, close followed by the Dutch-Belgians.
Once we have the new releases done, then it is the turn for the Napoleonic Austrians to be re-sculpted. This will not just be a like-for-like replacement of the existing figures. We'll be adding new codes, and covering all those annoying little gaps that currently infest the range at the moment. It goes without saying that the quality of the new figures will be of the highest order.
Once the Austrians are completed, we will (may the Gods themselves help us!) start work on completely refurbishing and expanding the Napoleonic French. This may start late in 2012. Maybe those Mayans were on to something after all
The process of re-sculpting the Ancients ranges will continue, with the Macedonians and Successors being next in line, followed by the Indians.
The Early Mediaeval range will be expanded as we cover the hostile takeover of land with religious overtones that was the First Crusade.
We'll be expanding the Equipment ranges with more civilians and other such paraphernalia.
On the publications side, Polemos: Seven Years War will definitely reach publication. There are also a couple of other projects we are pursuing, so keep watching the News for updates.
Away from the hurly burly of production, you can also look forward to another Baccus Gaming Day in July 2012, plus there will be a new reduced battle game for you all to look forward to.
As ever, new things and ideas will raise their little heads.
Given that my predictions are usually as reliable as those of Harold Camping's (the chap who managed to predict the end of the world twice in 2011), some or all of this may or may not happen or something else entirely may emerge. Who knows? I certainly don't.
