Odd. I usually really like Darkson's stuff, but I am uncomfortable with their use of the Eldar Futhark when that has real religious significance for people today.

Matt Hope of Darkson Designs writes:

Darkson Designs have posted the concept art for the Vril Technician miniature that will be released as part of their AE-WWII Occult Expansion.

Vril Technician
Vril Technicians are the field operatives of the Vril Gesellschaft, men trained in the secrets of the runes and the sorcerous alloy vril. They are skilled mechanics and gunsmiths, able to make on the spot modifications and repairs to the armaments of the Waffen SS. By far their most important function, however, is maintaining the rare and wondrous weapons produced by the Vril Gesellschaft and recovering them from fallen soldiers. Vril Technicians are also trained to invoke the powers of the Elder Futhark, conjuring strange manifestations others try desperately to dismiss as coincidence.

The AE-WWII Occult Expansion is set to be released at Gen Con Indy 2009.
