mdauben – ADB has decided to license out their Star Fleet Universe Setting to companies. The only requirement is besides the licensing fee of course, is the new setting must maintain the Star Fleet Universe feel. So anyone that license there setting can not start submitting things like Klingon ships with Cloaking Devices and Photon Torpedoes.

MJ12 can continue to release new products as long as they develop them and run it by ADB. Mongoose is of course releasing their A Call to Arms System and whispers on the winds is that Gorilla games is working on a Battlestaion version of the Star Fleet Universe.

So don't be surprised if there are more Star Fleet Games in the future. Like was said different people like different systems so hopefully every one can find a rule set they like eventually.

Last I heard on Decals was Mongoose was looking into it as a possible project some time after Christmas.

In the run-up to the launch of A Call to Arms: Star Fleet in just a few weeks, we are previewing the ships and new miniatures on Planet Mongoose, with new vessels going up every couple of days.

Klingon D7 Battlecruiser

So far, we have already showcased the Federation Frigate and Battle Frigate, as well as their Heavy Cruiser and Battlecruiser, and now it has been the turn of the Klingons and Romulans.

Federation Heavy Cruiser

All of these miniatures go on pre-order next week, and we are expecting to start sending orders out in the first week of December.

A Call to Arms: Star Fleet will be launched in the U.K. at Dragonmeet this year, in Kensington Town Hall on the 26th of this month.
