I do not know wether there are any reports of crossbows being used from horseback, but these certainly look very good. They also finally created a set of standing horses :-)

I will get me a unit when they become available.

More new 28mm metal miniatures for those with an interest in the Great Italian Wars - this time, the first of our mounted fire-tattic troops, Mounted Crossbowmen.

Designed for use in the first half of the 16th Century, these six new miniatures can be seen on our Workbench feature.

At the end of the week, I hope to be able to show you our Mounted Arquebusiers to accompany these crossbowmen and, I think, that about finishes us for basic troop types for our Italian forces.
