Scutarii Ancients Rules - New Tournament Edition "Finally Available!"

These were designed by a Bill Butler, a member of our local miniatures group, South Bay Games Club.

The main feature I remember about the rules is the emphasis on keeping multiple lines of support. Every unit that has taken damage in the previous turn has to make a morale check by rolling a die and adding the total amount of damage taken (total, not just those taken in the last turn). A failed morale check makes the unit shaken; another failed check means the unit routs.

So imaging two lines of units. Both may take damage but eventually units will break. But, if you have a fresh second line, the victor of the previous combat may be in trouble as his units are now facing undamaged units.
