Osprey's first ever videogame, Battleplan: American Civil War, is out now!
A while ago, we lifted the lid on a very exciting project – the creation of a new strategy game with the team at The Mustard Corporation. Now, the buzz around Osprey Towers has reached a crescendo – Battleplan: American Civil War is here, and we couldn't be more proud!
Battleplan: American Civil War is a kind of digital tabletop wargame for iPad, iPhone and PC. It introduces a brand-new type of strategic simulation – Fastplay Wargaming. You don't need to worry about resource management or unit micro-management, the emphasis is purely on brigade-level decisions. Play against the computer or against a friend, for a quick ten-minute clash, or for hours of immerse campaigning!
It allows you to take on the role of an American Civil War brigade commander, on either the Union or Confederate side, and re-fight crucial battles of the momentous conflict in two challenging campaigns.

Battleplan: The American Civil War is replete with brilliant Osprey artwork from illustrators Steve Noon, Alan Perry, and Richard Hook. Brigade, division and general's names, orders of battle, deployments, and dispositions are all drawn from information in Osprey's extensive coverage of the American Civil War.
