Am I counting wrong here?

'Cause I only see five guys.

I see a lot of criticism using terms like 'hordes' and 'plethora', but…. what hordes, exactly? What plethora?

I'm aware this kit wasn't commonplace, but you know what? I think they probably could scrape together five of them.

These are 28mm figures – a size most commonly used in 1:1 skirmish gaming.
In fact, these particular figures are from a company whose own WWII system is 1:1.
So in most cases, I'm sure that these five guys will represent just that on the tabletop – a handful of individual soldiers.

Seems to me that's exactly the right way to represent this troop type.

Cracking set of figures, perfect for a 'sniper hunt' scenario.

Get the upper hand in Bolt Action night battles with these German Heer with infra-red assault rifles forming a Nachtjäger ('Night Hunters') squad.

Nachtjäger

The German military were advanced in their development of infra-red technology, fielding several different units including Panther tanks with infra-red targeting systems led by Sd.Kfz 251 Hanomags with colossal infrared searchlights!

Nachtjäger

They are the perfect addition to the Sd.Kfz 251/20 Uhu and the Panther ausf G with infra-red sight, and all three are outlined by Alessio Cavatore in his exciting night-time operations rules for Bolt Action (see below!).

Panther ausf G with infra-red sight

You can find rules for night fighting in games of Bolt Action in our first Theater Book – Battleground Europe – and rules for Nachtjagers, Uhu halftrack, and infra-red Panther in our free downloadable PDF full of additional units here.
