I ordered two of these kits (tavern and boat yard) yesterday on the strength of this posting and they arrived in New York today. Great service, thank you.

New Material, New – Lower – Prices

All Buildings On A Budget kits will be made of 1.6mm HDF or 3mm HDF instead of 1.5mm Basswood Plywood or 3mm Birch Plywood starting September 1, 2016!

HDF is a high-density fiberboard (also known as hardboard) similar to MDF: it is very strong, glues well with PVA glue and takes color easily. Cutting and engraving shows better results than the previously used plywoods. And the best is, it costs less! Therefore prices for all kits containing 1.6mm or 3mm HDF have been reduced!

Here is a comparison photo: on the left plywood, on the right HDF.

Comparison

As I do still have some stocked plywood kits you might be getting one of those when placing an order during the transition.

But the price reduction will be applied to all orders received from September 1, 2016 on!

We will be attending Fall In! in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, from November 4-6, 2016!
