Jessica Kinsley announces:

Hi, everyone!

My name is Jessica Kinsley, and I am a 5th and 6th grade U.S. History teacher. My classes consist of 80% children of active duty Navy and Marine Corps men and women.

In the past years we have made special projects including models of Custer's Last Stand, Gunfight at the OK Corral, Civil War Battles, Rev War Battles and others. This year the children have decided to try and make an Alamo model with figures. We need help with the project due to the relative low finances available (from the school and from underpaid military families).

Reconstruction of the Alamo

We need help with Mexican Army Uniforms: All these different Battalions (Permanente Matamoros, Jimenez, Allende, Aldama), (Activo San Luis, Toluca, Tampico) Reg Deloras, Vera Cruz, Guanajuato, Bajio) and units of Cazadores, Zapadores, Militia, Musicians, Artillery, and others. We are trying to figure out who wore what, as in did all Matamoros wear the same ? Or ? If anyone can give us a breakdown on all this, it would be greatly appreciated!

Also, we are trying to get some help in getting a few miniature figures for the model. The scale we have is 25/28mm. If anyone has any figurines that they can spare, we can also trade items left over from out past projects or possibly even purchase some (as long as the cost is not too much).

Anyone who can help us with information or anything else, please contact me at: JessicaNKinsley@yahoo.com.

Thank you all for your time and efforts, the children will be very grateful for any and all help you can provide.
