Alan and Michael Perry of Perry Miniatures writes:

After years of contemplation and consideration, Perry Miniatures have taken the plunge into plastic figures.

ACW infantryman

These will be 28mm hard-plastic miniatures which will complement our metal ranges in scale and detail. The first releases will be an American Civil War infantry box and a supporting cavalry box. The infantry box will contain 36 figures, half marching, half firing line, and will include a command. The cavalry will include 12 mounted figures, including command. Both these boxes are intended for use for Union and Confederate forces, as the headgear is separate, allowing the customer to customise their armies accordingly. We will be releasing a metal range of ACW to run along with these boxes.

At the moment, we're aiming at the £12.00 GBP mark for a box. We are in tooling process for both boxes at the moment, and are looking at a March release, fingers crossed.

The figures pictured are a selection of the 12 different figures found on each infantry sprue. The integral bases are not yet attached in these pictures.
