The purpose of this article is to request your comments, opinions and suggestions with respect to a new product. As some of you know, at Wargamers' Terrain, we try to make our products as flexible and realistic as possible. Our new product is nearing completion and we would like to hear from you, our customers. The new product consists of corn stalks for 15mm and 25+mm scales on a micromat made of FlexTerrain. Each micromat will be sized to fit X number of stalks. In this fashion, you can:
- Configure a cornfield of any size and shape by simply placing mats next to each other
- Remove any number of micromats to simulate trampling as your troops move across the cornfield
Currently, we are considering 12 to 18 stalks per micromat (sizes of about 2.25 by 1.75 inches and 1 by 1.75 inches), but we are open to any and all suggestions.
What works for you? What micromat sizes would you prefer? How many stalks per micromat do you consider optimal? How far apart should stalks be? Does the micromat concept appeal to you?
