This week's new releases from Sally 4th utilize magnetic and steel vinyl to increase the versatility of our figure storage-and-transport system. A number of customers having contacted me to ask if we can provide 'Warchest inserts' that hold movement trays rather than figures. This sounds like a great idea to me, as it reduces set-up and clear-away time for a game by taking a whole movement tray of figures out of their case and deploying them straight on to the table, and then at the end of the game, picking the whole movement tray up and putting it back into the Warchest. We've named our solution Rapid Deployment Inserts, as they allow deployment of armies from secure storage in their Warchest onto the battlefield with minimum delay.
Rapid Deployment Inserts
Rapid Deployment Insert – Regular Movement Trays £3.00 GBP
Rapid Deployment Insert – Irregular Movement Tray £3.00 GBP
In due course, we will list an insert based around all of our extensive collection of Movement Trays. In the meantime, if we do not have an insert listed for the size of movement tray you want to use, order a Regular or Irregular movement tray, and drop as an accompanying email with the details of the movement trays you want to use.
For my latest army, I am using our Round Magnetic Bases with our Steel-Lined Movement Trays in a 70mm high Warchest, with a 3mm Movement Tray Insert. This arrangement is so secure that you can put the case on its side without any figure movement.
Magnetic Slot & Plain Bases
A deluxe basing solution, bases precision laser-cut from a laminate of either 2mm or 3.2mm MDF and magnetic vinyl. Our range includes square, hexagonal, round and rectangular bases, with or without slots, in sizes from 20mm up to 60mm. This range includes a 25mm x 50mm base with a double slot to take Games Workshop-style cavalry miniatures. If we do not have the exact base you are looking for, please contact us, and we will get a custom base added.
Prices for magnetic bases start at £0.07 GBP each.
Steel & Magnetic-Lined Movement Trays
Responding to customer requests, we have added a magnetic or steel vinyl option to all of our popular range of Regular and Irregular movement trays. These are available individually in all configurations, from two-figure slots right up to 64-figure slots. Using these as a basis for basing and organizing miniatures offers a great degree of flexibility. Photographs show some Games Workshop miniatures based on 20mm magnetic bases facing front in a deep line formation, turned into a march column, and finally taken off to deploy onto a Sally 4th fortification.
Price for magnetic or steel-lined movement trays start at £0.80 GBP each.
Postage and packing
We have reviewed the way that we charge for postage and packaging, to increase fairness to customers and hopefully to cover costs!
For U.K. customers, apart from very small orders, we recommend taking the Collect Plus option. This is a tracked courier service for a fixed price of £3.99 GBP (free for U.K. orders over £50.00 GBP).
We offer Royal Mail Standard and signed-for services for U.K., European Union, and worldwide customers, calculated on the actual weight of products ordered. We have weighed all of our products, and weight-based postage options are now displayed as part of the check-out process.
