The French Dragoons rode boldly into the small village. Confident in their numbers, they were near their destination with the important dispatch for the Marshall. The practice of sending out lone riders had been disbanded long ago due to the dangers of the dreaded Spanish Guerrillas.

As they began to dismount, shots started to ring out and several Dragoons fell instantly. The cry was called out, "Guerrillas!"
