By no means sarcastic, just humourous. I was trying to explain you my point of view appealing at your sense of humour instead of adopting a grave attitude.

When Minairons was born 5 years ago, I can recall to have set up a 1m x 1m square stand at a wargames show in Barcelona town, showing just one single boxed model kit (a 1:72nd Panzer I tank for Spanish Civil War). Not the most promising start, isn't it?

Well, five years later Minairons catalogue has grown up to list 216 items devoted mostly to Spanish Civil War --a more than decent rate of growth for a range, I'd say: PDF link

I'm not saying this to demand any act of faith from nobody, of course; just to ask a little patience. Things cannot run fast unless your pouches are plentiful of pieces of eight and have an entire crew at disposal.

As a self employee, this isn't my case for sure frown

PS: oh just a comment. The model ship you can see in the picture is not any CAD drawing, but the 3D printed master model instead (real stuff I mean) grin

Accordingly to the announcements, I recently made on TMP – the one on a projected 1:600 Age of Sail ships range, and the other on an upcoming complementary collection of Naval Flags, we've spent much of summer learning about this latter subject.

After releasing last month, the first three sheets (intended for Spanish, Portuguese and French trans-oceanic trade galleons), we've just released now another set of flag sheets, this time, one for a Spanish man-of-war, a Catalan galleon of 1642-1653, and a pirate ship – that one of Thomas Tew, who is reputed to have hoisted the first black Jolly Roger recorded.

New set

About the second half of current month, we shall release a further set, this one devoted to the English Royal Navy – admittedly a must for any Age of Sail collection:

Next set

All this, while the making of our first 1:600 scale model ship is being completed:

If eventually interested in this upcoming range, please notice our current general schedule, recorded on this page of Minairons blog. Also, please have into account that you can decisively influence such schedule by assigning your priorities to the items in our wishlist, as recorded in our website's page of that name. Feel free to check and contribute, join or suggest!
