We have just sent out our latest newsletter, put together by Kev Dallimore, and I thought I'd share some of its content with TMP readers. You can read the newsletter here.
We have announced a new figure range in the newsletter. Keeping up our reputation for doing obscure wars (Franco-Dutch War 1672, Austro-Prussian 1866 indeed), the new range is by Aly Morrison for his Great War Miniatures line. It is the Russo-Swedish War 1788-90. He called it Potemkins Wars, and has started with Russian infantry and Swedish infantry. More to come.
We have added a Danish Infantry Deal to our Second Schleswig War 1864 range.
For Frostgrave fans, we've put A Tale of Five Painters in the newsletter. We've featured the work of five different figure painters, who have all painted up the plastic Frostgrave Soldiers, showing you the miniatures individually both front and back.
The figure painters are:
- Kev Dallimore
- Dave Woodward
- Mark Wheatley
- Paul Cubbin
- and Luis Garcia
The newsletter has the new Thaw of the Lich Lord figures, shown for the first time, painted by Kev Dallimore.
We also feature these products we're involved with: the massive Beyond the Gates of Antares sci-fi release from Warlord Games, the Giants in Miniatures promotion from Wargames Illustrated, and Prodos' Alien Vs Predator.
For us, the big release from Osprey Games is Thaw of the Lich Lord, that'll be released 20th November. But there are two other new products. One is a boardgame of Cold War submarines called They Come Unseen. The other is a set of Seven Years War rules in their OWG series of budget rulebooks, called Honors of War. If you order this book from us, we'll send you a free figure of Frederick the Great with it.
There is more, but I'll let you read that for yourself.
If you want to receive the newsletter in your own inbox every two weeks, sign up here.
As a last note, Miniature Wargames had some very nice things to say about our newsletter in this month's issue (thank you very much, Henry).
