Not trying to go off topic, but…

I'm not saying one is better, or one should go away. Competition is a win for us consumers. Android has made Apple improve their game. Prior to the success of Android, Apple was costing along.

My original intent was that it would be foolish for Developers to ignore almost 50% of your market. There are a few other apps or ebooks out there that went iOS, which I think is a huge mistake.

Apple has the appearance of market dominance because it is "cool". But that is not the reality.

Cheers, Xin

Battlelines: Borodino 1812 – the new app from Osprey and Aimer!

In the fields outside the small village of Borodino, two empires clashed.

On the 7th of September, 1812, Napoleon's vast and supposedly invincible Grande Armée faced the forces of Imperial Russia in a bloody, hard-fought battle. By the day's end, thousands lay dead and the Russians were forced to withdraw, leaving the way open for Napoleon to capture Moscow.

Borodino app

Illustrated with interactive maps and stunning artwork, the Battlelines: Borodino 1812 app for the iPad and iPhone is a unique exploration of Napoleon's costly victory.

The app features:

  • Background to the invasion.
  • In-depth information on the make-up of the forces that would meet in the field.
  • Three interactive maps that chart the day's events, as the battle slowly turned in Napoleon's favor.
  • Easy-to-use overlays that show the course of the battle. Tap the map to get in-depth information on key actions.

The app then continues the story past this hard-won victory, as Napoleon's giant army was decimated by disease and snowstorms in the horrific retreat from Moscow.

Battlelines: Borodino 1812 – Napoleon's Greatest Gamble is available now for £1.99 GBP/$2.99 USD!

Produced in collaboration with Aimer Media, Borodino is the second in the Battlelines series of apps, which give a unique look at some of history's most famous battles. Battlelines: Pearl Harbor, the first in the series, is available for the iPhone and iPad.
