Acheson Creations is pleased to announce that Stretch-Goal #1 was unlocked early on Monday, and we're now well on the way toward unlocking Stretch-Goal #2!
This pair of prehistoric critters will make a lovely encounter within any dungeon or out roaming the Saurian Frontier. This set comes with two different glyptodon sculpts by Richard Deasey. Both will be cast in pewter and come unpainted.
Glyptodon (from the Greek for "grooved or carved tooth") was a genus of large, armored mammal of the subfamily Glyptodontinae (glyptodonts or glyptodontines) – relatives of armadillos – that lived during the Pleistocene epoch. It was roughly the same size and weight as a Volkswagen Beetle, though flatter in shape.
With its rounded, bony shell and squat limbs, it superficially resembled a turtle, and the much earlier dinosaurian Ankylosaur – providing an example of the convergent evolution of unrelated lineages into similar forms.
Everyone who pledges at least $150.00 USD will receive this piece at no additional charge. It will also be available as a $15.00 USD add-on.
