The Raid on Bengstkar Island

A naval and amphibious land-warfare scenario that you can use with your favorite wargaming rulesets, including Cruel Seas.

In this scenario, you will not only find a full set of rules for integrating the use of land forces and aircraft in this battle into a thrilling game of Cruel Seas, but also a detailed overview of the historical campaign focusing on the activities of the Soviets and the Finnish forces around the islands and littoral areas of the Hanko peninsula, located in the Baltic Sea.

Historical background includes a comprehensive, summary translation of Russian language sources detailing the raid on Bengstkar Island in July of 1941.

The scenario is, of course, not limited to wargaming the action on Bengstkar itself, but takes this battle as its inspiration, allowing players to create and adapt their own raid and amphibious-landing scenarios on various islands and coastal engagements throughout the Baltic and other fronts.

The rules will easily prove up to the task of gaming any island and coastal-raid scenarios in any theater of the Second World War!

The guide also includes game tokens, a turn chart for the main scenario, and a rocky island template that you can print and use to construct your own islands for use in your naval wargames!

I sincerely hope you enjoy this scenario and the other materials that I have included, and thank you for your purchase!
