Trojan War Era Galley by Richard Houston

That's my story and I'm sticking with it!

But more than the usual release of several Houston's Ships at one time, this group has some differences that may be just the ticket for folks not yet sufficiently tempted before.

The Other Trojan War Era Galley

Namely, two of the four new 28mm models are scratchbuilt galleys for the period of the Trojan Wars. Each fully-painted-and-ready-to-play model comes with unpainted rowers, oars, warriors, shields and weapons from the old Dixon range for the subject. The cost of the figures alone is almost worth the price of each model alone! If anyone is still waiting for Achilles' boat, one of these may be it.

1:32 Scale Steam Launch

The next unique model is a 54mm/1:32 scale steam launch, intended for use with games such as Funny Little Wars or any other Toy Soldier games. Sorry, the gun and figures are only for reference!

28mm "Sand Pebbles"

And finally, more in Richard's tradition, is the latest incarnation of the ever-popular Sand Pebbles (USS San Pablo). Modeled much as the film version, as usual, this little jewel mounts two guns, and has detailed interiors of all deck houses, plus railings, ladders, and a tricked-out wheelhouse.

Lewis guns on pintel mounts and other accessories are available from the Houston Collection of Naval Guns and Ship Fittings for the lowest prices around, in case the new owner would like to build her up a bit before heading for China Light!

As usual, all models tend to sell quickly on a "first come, first served" basis, so if any of these look just the trick, please follow this link and check them out, plus another item on the page.

A new steamer and another warship are in the final stages and should be steaming over the horizon in about a week, so keep your glasses on this site for the first view.
