Replacement lists are due to newer information becoming available – so in essence many upgraded lists will occur, given the nature of military history. There is no way I can read every possible source (some non-English) before putting a list out! So I'd rather go with what I have to hand, and update later (it's usually years later).

My motto is its better to have some info than none at all. For most wargamers it will be the most accurate info they can readily get without doing all the hours research themselves. In some cases, an individual list can take 3-5 hours to put together.

And at 80p a list, if you end up purchasing an updated version of an old list, it will hardly break the bank. Much better than waiting for 5 years for a book reprint with the newer info in that is going to cost £20.00 GBP with a lot of info you don't want. Or whatever.

Customers always get the latest version of a list, even if it hasn't been advertised yet, as the older ones are automatically overwritten.

So in answer to his questions, yes, you would have to pay for an updated list. The updated lists are improved information, and it is never the case that the whole list is wrong, it might be for example, one platoon that has changed.

Army lists

This month sees the completion of the 1980s West German lists with full Orders of Battle, WWII neutrals such as Portugal and the Baltic states, and a new series of random Naval lists.

DON'T SEE WHAT YOU WANT?

The MicroMark catalogue has over 2,100 lists covering many armies, well known and obscure, from 1780 to the current day. However, this is just a small imprint on the amount of organizational information available.

As a focus to future releases, if there is a particular army, division, brigade or regiment you wish to see a MicroMark list for, please let me know!

Send your request by email to sultanbev@googlemail.com.

Or write to Mark Bevis, 17 Pheasantford Street, Burnley, Lancs, BB10 3BD.

Or post in the Specialist Military Publications Forum.

I will try my best to write the relevant lists in time for the next monthly release!
