WI Issue 357

Our theme for WI357 is Richard the Lionheart, and we present four articles that feature Wargaming with King Richard the First of England. Including a report from the Society of Ancients' Battleday, which featured eleven different games playing the same battle: Arsuf 1197.

Watch Here!

Elsewhere in the magazine, we take a look behind the scenes at the new Bolt Action supplement: Campaign Sealion, and do the same with a recent Napoleonic ruleset release: General D'Armee.

In Brush Tips, Simon Bradley of Stone Cold Lead shares his method for painting mail armor. And we have more modelling from Mark Hargreves, who tells us how he constructed a 1918 Czech Legion armored train.

We have two Rules Showcase articles for you this month. In the first, Dom Sore takes an in-depth look at Ancient-to-Renaissance rules Swordpoint; and we get to try out the forthcoming 4Ground fantasy game The Legend of Fabled Realms – look out for an interview with the 4Ground guys in the interactive version of the magazine.

And you will find more movie action in our Salute 2017 report, in which we take a tour around the world's largest wargames show, bringing you the pick of the games.

WI357 is available directly from our webstore as a print or interactive version, your local hobby retailer, Barnes and Noble in the U.S., or WH Smith in the U.K. And don't forget WI Prime members can view this issue online, along with 356 others.
