We are very pleased to announce the release date for Kriegsspiel, the latest product in the TooFatLardies stable.

Kriegsspiel

As of Monday the 15th of October, this absolute classic set of wargames rules will once again be available. Written by a Prussian Army officer and veteran of the Napoleonic Wars, Kriegsspiel was first published in 1824, and is widely recognised as the genesis of wargaming as a hobby.

Despite their age, these rules are sophisticated and elegant in their mechanisms, and look as fresh now as they did 150 years ago. The Kriegsspiel rules are a "must" for any wargamer or student of military history interested in adding dimensions to their gaming that tabletop battles just cannot get close to.

In addition to the rules, we are producing a full-colour version of the Meckel Map, designed in the 19th Century for use with the Kriegsspiel rules, and a book of 12 scenarios set on that map. Much more additional material is planned for the future, and our friends at Irregular Miniatures are producing starter sets of Kriegsspiel blocks at discount rates.

See our website for more details, and discover how real Napoleonic gamers fought their tabletop battles.
