For a long time, I have been trying to find a practical but realistic way of reproducing samurai nobori banners. This is because if you make them in white-metal, they are either too brittle or look like beams in the hands of your miniatures. My solution to this problem are these brass nobori, made from thin brass sheet. They are easily folded around steel pikes to give very realistic samurai banners. They can also be folded to give the impression of being blown in the wind. They can be mounted at the correct height without worry of the poles bending. In the picture, you can see if you add some string or fuse wire, you can make them even more realistic. These flags come in two sizes, Long Nobori or banners for lords' heraldry, that are more square. They are £2.00 GBP per flag separate, but also are included if you buy set five.
Also here are three more sets of decals:
- Honda Clan
- This set gives an option of designs that were used at different times
- Mori Clan and Kobayakawa
- From the time of Sekigahara
- Ukita
- From the time of Sekigahara
These add to the other sheets: Tokugawa, Hosokawa, and Ishida. All decals are £3.50 GBP per sheet.
In other news, there are two new sets of samurai due out later this month.
