Hello, folks!
I wanted to share/announce that I, Menhir Games (yet another miniatures wannabe manufacturer), will soon launch (hopefully at the beginning of August) a KS campaign. I have been working to raise funds to finance the first six miniatures in 28mm non-heroic scale of Heroes/Champions/Characters from different races, featuring cultures, nations, empires of history, and regions of our world in the medieval ages (from 7th to 12th centuries, mainly). Looking with this, making more than just the common very-well-known races/aesthetic conception/associations, but offering as well new, "original" faces and freshened concepts… the campaign also will have six more heroes as stretch-goals that will be available to choose, or to add to the pledges as add-ons.
The entire line that will be produced over time will have a total of 22 different heroes, divided in humanoid and anthropomorphic races (the mythological counterpart of each humanoid faction), with designs from the Eskimo Orcs, to the Persian/Middle East-like Elves, Arabic/Muslim Dwarfs, Medieval India humans, Afrikaan humans, Celtic fauns, Middle East Naga, etc.
Note: All heroes and factions (for each hero, there is one faction) are part of the Menhir Games two-faced fantasy world (under development) called Magrieb (one side) and Mashkriek (on the other side).
There is going to be one humanoid (human, Elf, Dwarf and Orc) champion and one anthropomorphic (mythological counterpart) heroes for each region of the historical world..
Regarding to the main goal's miniatures, the renders are:
#1: Akkiry Faction Elf Captain/Capitán Elfo de la facción Akkiry
#2: Northälfar Faction Dwarf Captain/Capitan Enano de la facción Northälfar
#3: Uyghur Faction Orc Chieftain/Jefe Orco de la faccion Uyghur
#4: Itzám Faction Lizardman Champion/Campeón Lagarto de la facción Itzám
#5: Ravana Faction Rakshasa Champion/Campeón Rakshasa de la faccón Ravana
…and
#6: Erythrian Faction Elf Champion/Campeón Elfo de la facción Erythria
Also, with the main goal, each figure will come with one square and one round 25mm base, with a design that allows writing the name of the hero, for this minis or any other character you want to base and exalt.
The stretch-goal miniatures "add-ons" will come in pairs. Meaning, that there are going to be three miniatures-related stretch-goals, unlocking two heroes/champions each (plus two + two bases).
They are:
#7: Ëkal-KÏ Faction Human Champion
#8: Sullkani Faction Elf Champion
#9: Hassim Faction Dwarf Champion
10#: Sileno Faction Faun Champion
#11: Uralia Faction Human Champion
#12: Varuna Faction Naga Champion
The sketches are not to impress, but to give an exact graphics "explanation" of how the miniature will look. However, it does not show at all the pose that the miniature will have.
There will be, in-between these "add-on streach-goals," other "gift stretch-goals" and Facebook 'Likes' bonuses. In both FB bonuses and gift stretch-goals are included one free miniature – that is, one free random miniature by reaching XXX 'Likes' on FB, and one secret, free miniature for all backers.
Pledges will be for one, six and twelve miniatures, plus a pledge to get only bases, and a pledge to get twelve miniatures painted, and a big shinny brass heroes in double size, to use it as a really nice decoration, trophy for games, present, or whatever you might want it for.
The miniatures are going to be pewter-cast. The prints will be sent here, and the six, twelve and "the golden trophy" pledges will have free shipping, while the others will have $5 USD shipping cost.
The campaign goal to finance the first six miniatures will be set at $6,000 USD, and each stretch-goal for miniatures will be at $8,000 USD, $100,000 USD and $12,000 USD... in the gaps (7k, 9k, and 11k) there will be other stretch-goals as "gifts" (two are one free random miniature from the main goal and stretch-goal unlocked ones), and the other is + two bases per each miniature pledged (one round, one square).
That would be: if you get the six miniatures pack, you will receive six round and six square extra bases, aside from the bases that already come with the pledged miniatures.
Any Questions, Suggestions?
P.S. You can already Like (the first bonus is by reaching 200 'Likes') and share the Menhir Games Facebook page.
You will find plenty of other 3D renders ready to print, for future projects (15mm and 20mm) and games, if "all goes well."
