What I like most about Askari is that Askari makes the figures no one else makes. They allow me to complete my collection.

Askari Minis writes:

We've just released an interesting but little-known unit that served on the side of the Germans in World War II: The Free Indian Legion (Legion Freies Indien).

The Free Indian Legion

The Free Indian Legion

It was known also as the 'Tiger Legion' because of its origins in the Indian independence movement.

Free Indian Legion

The Free India Legion was initially raised as an assault group that would form a pathfinder to a German-Indian joint invasion of the western frontiers of British India, but few were used in that way. The unit served in North Africa, France, and the Netherlands, as well as a company in Italy.

These figures could also be used for the German Free Arab Legion or the Italian Battaglione Azad Hindoustan, both of which wore turbans. These units were used in propaganda and anti-partisan operations in North Africa and the Balkans.

Osprey cover these units, and you can find out more on Wikipedia as well.

This would make a unique addition to your collection!
