After much thought, deliberation and struggle, I have decided to lay Miniature Service Center down and move on with my life. Soon to turn 72, and moving into a smaller home in a retirement complex has helped push me over the edge. I will fill all the orders that have presently come in, and will put our ranges and molds up for sell. All of our 40mm Trident Designs, Vanguard Miniatures, Trident Designs AWI, and Trident Designs FIW ranges are now available for sale to anyone who may be interested. Our moldmaker and caster said that he would continue to cast for whoever purchases them, and our designer said he would continue to design figures for the individual who purchases the ranges if he wants him to.
I have had years and years of fun running the business and talking to many, many of my customers, and hearing the enjoyment they have received from our figures and the many ranges we have handled over the past 40 years. This I will miss greatly. However, I am at the point where I just want to relax and game with the many friends who game with us here. No more pulling orders, no more packing orders, no more running the website, no more running to the post office to ship orders, no more deciding what figures we should do next, no more keeping a stock and putting re-stock orders through, etc., etc. etc. Whew, I just got tired thinking about it. Just gaming, wow!
Anyway, I'm sorry to disappoint many of you. That was one of the biggest things I have struggled with when making this decision. I hope to make a smooth transition with whoever purchases the ranges.
