Here are the new armored fighting vehicles which are our last releases for January:
XR014 – Halewyn Heavy AFV
Urban combat is hard on vehicles, and Xarka Heavy Industries knows this and has responded with the new iteration of the Isengrim armored personnel carrier. Massively up-armored, and with the addition of a second, smaller antipersonnel turret, this eight-wheeled transport can accommodate twelve kitted-up troopers in its bay. Top-mounted smoke launchers alongside twin 14mm cannons made by Medway Zilt, with the secondary turret holding a twin mount of Xarka 1Mw 'Zapper' non-lethal crowd-control guns. It has a range of 150km using a hydrocarbon 400hp power plant, with two crew. Many have seen action repeatedly in the vicious Brazilia Mega City corporate wars.
XR015 – Breydel AFV
Noted for its more nimble and agile ability to get over rough terrain and deploy its eight passengers, the Breydel is a product of Xarka Heavy Industries' colony division, for those on a tighter defense budget. Six-wheeled and with a front hull turret mounting twin Optikal medium lasers and two ball-mounted non-lethal pellet firers, it is well suited to frontiers as well as civil enforcement. It has a range of 200km using a hydrocarbon 300hp power plant, with two crew. It is a favorite across three dozen colonies in the Interstellar Concordium.
XR016 – Loebas AFV
Among the largest regular vehicles to make use of a Kruppen 1 reactor, typically only found on light chassis, the Loebas is rare in that it has two of these small power plants. This makes it a little more expensive, and means it never runs short of energy and is able to reach a very good road speed, while using its turret-mounted Fresno Type 9 Light Rail Cannon at the same time, something other AFVs can struggle with. Two crew, with space for six passengers, this AFV has heaver armor, but can travel at nearly 120kph. The turret also sports a six-tube cylinder rocket launcher and a single Optikal light laser. Corporate entities including Xarka itself make use of over 1,000 Loebas.
