Hi all again, I've talked to the model designer so as he's taken a rendering and measured it. This galleon measures close to 8.5 cm from bow to stern, bowsprit apart; if taken bowsprit into account, size increases close to 10 cm. It can be calculated that once masts are finished, model will be around 10 cm tall, too. As for width, it's around 1 cm. Any plans for more ships? This is what I am considering currently: link (plans welcome). For the moment I'm having ind mind 17th & early 18th centuries Mediterranean ships mainly (a period roughly running from 30YW to WSS, or Turco-Venetian War), but I'm completely open to suggestions. Some time ago, I announced in the Minairons Miniatures blog an upcoming range of 1:600 scale Age of Sail ships. Well, after some silence, we have the first complete results.
We have well advanced now our first project, a late 16th or early 17th Century Spanish Galleon.
