Hi Bobgnar, I've added a walk – through of how I've painted the French paras; they'll not win any prizes but I think they've came out canny. Using washes on these figures really brings out the details and saves a lot of time: Here's the link: jacobiteirish.blogspot.co.uk
cheers Pete

Empress Miniatures of Empress Miniatures writes:

We are very pleased to announce that Red Star Miniatures now have their own section on our website. This is to celebrate the launch of their excellent Dien Bien Phu range, covering the French in Vietnam. The first releases are beautifully characterful French paratroopers, with the promise of more figures for this range to come.

Command
On May 7th, 1954, the garrison of the fortified camp of Dien Bien Phu ceased the fight against General Giap North Vietnamese army after heroic resistance. So ended an epic struggle which began 170 days earlier when French paratroopers landed in the area. Although not marking the end of the war in French Indochina, this cataclysmic defeat affected French morale deeply. Soon they would be engaged in another bitter conflict in Algeria.

These are available in our online shop now!

We will be attending Sheffield Triples on May 18th and May 19th this year. We welcome pre-orders for collection at the show.
