The battle scenarios offer the player a series of different challenges from the wars of the early 18th Century. Battles are played at the brigade level with all major elements on 75mm/3-inch wide bases. Using smaller scale figures (6-15mm) lets players give their units a realistic feel. The ground scale of 1' = 40 yards means the typical 6 ft x 4 ft table is large enough to accommodate most battles of the period. Belloludi Rifles: Skirmish Rules 1860-1914 For those with no previous experience in wargaming, yet like to play games, these introductory rules are suitable for 2 to 40 players. The game is designed as a multi-player game, but will work just as fine with only two players or even solo. The same goes for the number of miniatures involved. It is possible to start with only 20 miniatures, with the distances are given in inches for use with 28mm figures. Mussolini's Defeat at Hill 731, March 1941: How the Greeks Halted Italy's Albanian Offensive Hill 731 was the scene of the most ferocious battle of the Greek-Italian War in Albania. Watched by Mussolini himself, on 9 March 1941, the Italians launched their Spring Offensive designed to stem four months of humiliating reverses. The objective was a pair of parallel valleys dominated by the Greek-held Hill 731 that had to be taken at all costs. For 17 days, after a massive artillery barrage, the Italians threw themselves with great courage against the Evzones on the hill, to be repeatedly smashed with appalling losses.
