Nice posters on their website but the pump shoes are a little less historically accurate eh?

To Be Released Soon!

All gamers and builders know this feeling, when you see something and can't stop thinking, wouldn't it be great in 28mm (or whatever your scale)?

I am no different, and usually have a lot of ideas just sitting around (I mean my wife has a whole board on this Pinterest of hers where she pins stuff she wants to make in miniature). Some projects sit there forever, and some just keep nagging us.

This is the one I have been wanting for a very long time.

When I first saw Bartek Drejewicz's Pin-Up Girls way back in 2014, I was hooked and couldn't stop thinking how fantastic they would be in 28mm.

But there was no way: it needed Bartek's approval, a talented sculptor, and money to invest (which I didn't have, as all had just gone into Things from the Basement, LLC).

Fast forward, in spring 2017, I finally convinced Bartek, and he allowed me to use his American Civil War drawings for the project. I found Steve Barber to sculpt the girls (not an easy task as I want accurate historical uniforms, and my wife wants cute girls with booties), and I finally had the time and money to invest.

So here they are: Southern Belles and Northern Beauties metal-cast in 28mm, ready-to-fight epic battles and small skirmishes…

We Will Be at Fall In!

Come visit us at Fall In! at the Lancaster Host Resort in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, from November 3 to 5, 2017!

We have so many items right now that for the first time, we won't be able to bring everything. If there is something you would like to buy or just see, please email me at thingsfromthebasement@gmail.com, at least two weeks in advance, and I will make sure to have it with me! No advance payment necessary, I just need to know what you would like.

In addition, I will bring some built but not painted items from all of my ranges. In case you are interested, make sure to stop by early, as supplies of these are very limited!
