The figures look great, with a nice variety of equipment and well detailed like geometry dash lite. But while some may like the variety of body poses I would have preferred them all to be in a left shoulder forward and thrusting spear position.

Mercenaries box cover

We are really happy to announce the release of the fourth set in our Ancient Greek range. They can now be ordered from the shopping cart, and are also part of the multi-box Ancients deals. They will start shipping from Wednesday, 8th August.

Montage of painted miniatures

This boxed set contains 48 superbly detailed, 28mm hard-plastic miniatures. There are arm positions for thrusting or grounded spears, plus a variety of sword arms. There are 48 heads wearing many styles of helmet, including Attic, Thracian, Phrygian and Pylos types.

These figures represent ancient Greek hoplites of most of the citystates of Greece, and the mercenaries who fought for and against the Persian Empire. They can also be used for the many mercenary hoplites who fought during the Peloponnesian War, and for the Thessalian tyrant Jason of Pherae and the Phocians during the Sacred War – just to give you a few examples.

Unpainted plastic figures

One of the reasons we produced a fourth set of hoplites was that we could not fit all of the head options we wanted to put in the Athenian set. We felt it necessary to produce this extra set to add the variety of helmet styles so common in Greek hoplite phalanxes. These figures can be freely mixed with the Athenian and Theban sets in the same units, adding huge scope for individuality in your hoplite units.

Shield transfers

As well as individual boxes, we offer some fantastic 3-, 4-, 5-, 7- and 10-multi-box deals. Check the website victrixlimited.com for full details of this great way to build large ancient Greek armies at a very affordable cost. We also provide a full range of shield transfers, designed by Little Big Men Studios, with more designs to follow shortly.

Greek light troops are in the pipeline, which will be able to also make unarmored hoplites and peltasts.
