We started Warlord Games with plastic Imperial Romans, and this year, we return to our roots – our next plastic set for our Hail Caesar Ancients range will be more Romans! This time, they'll be Caesarian/Late Republican! Here are a few preview snaps of the three-ups from before we sent them to the toolmakers.

Three-ups

As you'd imagine, the plastic command group comprises of centurion, standardbearer and musician. Using the same bodies as the legionaries, these will be able to be built in a variety of poses as a result.

Three-ups

We've added arms with slings to the sprues as an unusual optional extra to the gladius and pilum arms.

Three-ups

As you can see, these models are considerably different from our Imperial Roman legionaries, with chainmail armor, oval shields, and Montefortino helmet.

The new plastics will be released 'soon'™ and, as you'd expect, also be supported by a range of metal models.
