Maki-Games Previews New Theme for Plastic Modular Terrain

@FingerandToeGlenn We started this project with two main goals. Durable and strong modular scenery. Both of us (the founders of Maki) have run gaming clubs for several years. And we noticed that the main problems with scenery where:

1) Durability
2) Storage space

So we wanted something extra strong, with no or almost no small parts to be lost and a very strong structure. (Guess we got that.. :)…)

And modular that could be readopted for various game systems. Our main problem at home or at the club was space. We had boxes and boxes of buildings, then boxes of dungeons and so on. With this system you don't need glue (only a few pieces like ladders will need it) so once you are done playing you can disassemble your buildings with ease and no risk to loose any part for storage, and next day assemble a spaceship interior for a new different game. A very big advantage especially if you use them at home and like me the wife hates small toys and the space they take… :P

This is one of the themes we have stored for the KS, if we keep growing. We are working now to define a precise path for the stretch-goals, and where this will be implemented. Mold cost is the main factor now. This is for the sci-fi line, just a few of the walls designs that we have stored. First plastic casts of the Makitainer are in the mail, and we should get them soon.

New theme

This design has a static door that can be easily removed (cut). We have a few alternative designs, with the door that can be removed and put back in place, and still evaluating how functional it will be. Main factors have to be robustness and practicality.
