Had to come eventually. I'm still finishing a few bits for outstanding commissions but a dodgy back for the last 12 months has slowed me down so much I've decided it was time I retired properly.

They say age creeps up on you – in my case it ran up behind me and then ran over me !!!

I've had a good run – nearly 10 years and been more lucky than most in my customers. Can honestly say I've enjoyed working with all of them.

I'm steadily making headway on a re-working of my website, and the basic structure should be up and working by the time that you read this announcement. I've checked the pages offline, but something always goes wrong once new stuff goes live – be prepared for some glitches and maybe the odd brown-out, while I find and fix errors.

Any of you familiar with the old version will find the menu structure now simpler and less fussy. My hope is that navigation will be easier, as I've been able to reduce page count now that the Painting Service is closed – the Galleries survive though.

At the same time, I've added new flag ranges for the main combatants of the Napoleonic Wars.

French 1812 & 1815 sample flags

France now has Infantry flags for 1812 and 1815, Prussia and Austria for after 1806, Prussian Landwehr and more to come soon. Napoleonic flags are now arranged by country and the old Austerlitz range is subsumed into the new range.

Prussia post 1806 & Austria 1806 sample flags

As usual, these are available in sizes (i.e. the flag height) 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 and 18mm, in both single sheets and multi-sheet sets.

Prussian Landwehr sample flags

Laser-printed on high-quality paper and shipped in a board envelope to ensure that they reach you in perfect condition.

All still at the very reasonable price of an A5 £2.50 GBP a sheet, less if you buy the multi-sheet packs.
