I have 6 diecast models I got off of ebay, for considerably more than I wanted to spend. I still need another 4 – 6, but I really don't want to pay more than $10.00 USD each for them. I am after 2 -3 pickup trucks, and 2-3 four door sedans. I need 1/43rd or 1/48th scale, 1930s or early 40s vehicles. Any suggestions?

I picked up a couple of early 40's pick-up trucks at Toys R Us closeout for less than $4 USD each. They were on an end rack and also up front as you walk out (not a big display). They had some other cars but they may be newer like 50's or 60's.

Likewise, CVS drugstores have that scale cars, in various styles. $6 USD-5 each. 'Course you get what they got, but I usually pick up one or two useful ones the 3 or 4 times I go to a drugstore in a year.

Yeah, I always look at the rack displays in CVS and the Supermarket, but the cars look too current.
