GK – SOS – Mayday – Help please!
Having rather foolishly mislaid my 1977 copy of Traveller Book 2 (Starships) I'm looking for a replacement or, more likely, a set of the three original books, with or without their box.

I may still have them somewhere, let me check.

Thank you Skeptic, that would be very kind.

That 1977 part is the real sticking point.

Otherwise, I'd suggest getting one of those "The Traveller Book" reprints from RPGNow.

FFE doesn't sell the '77 books anymore, do they? You'd think they'd be on one of their collection CDROMs or another.

Hopefully Skeptic can get you set up.

If you can't find it elsewhere I have a copy of the 1977 version with some cover wear. Let me know and we can figure something out!

It was many years before I realized that the official "first" edition wasn't. The 1977 version was the real first edition of course. I still have mine, a little worn of course

Pyrrhic Ed – much appreciated! I don't necessarily want to talk you out of a cherished memento, but will get in touch if I can't find it anywhere else.

Dragon6 – yes indeed, the original, 1977 edition has subtle differences in the treatment of jump engines and space lanes that make for quite an interesting game. By 1981 these aspects were brought into line with the rest of GDW's range of games.
