The Bayard Of India, by Lionel Trotter. The book has 240 pgs,HC,no DJ printed with the book. I believe this is the 1909 edition and for it's age is in excellent condition. Red covers with binding intact.
Outram had an incredible career starting at Khandesh in 1825,then Gugarat in 1835,Northwest Frontier(1st Afghan War) where he ran raids against the Afghan tribes and captured an enemy standard before Ghazni.Heroically defended residency at Hyderebad against 8000 Baluchis.1857 commanded an expedition to Persia defeating enemy at Khushab. Finally sent to India to command 2 divisions of the Bengal Army in The Mutiny. Great achievements during the Mutiny.
