A friend has asked me to find a home for his old CLS armies--about 1,300-1,500 EACH Prussian, Russian and French 25-30mm, based for CLS or similar tactical sets. Think Tricolor, In the Grand Manner, or (I think) General de Brigade. Problem is, big based castings are tricky and expensive to ship. Ultimately, I think we'll have to drive to the big cons. But if anyone in northern Indiana, Southern Michigan or adjacent parts of Illinois is interested, we can arrange something. For enough castings, it might include delivery. Please let me know if you're interested.

Thanks.

Manufacturer?

About all of them, I should think, but probably nothing more recent than 20-25 years ago. If there's a manufacturer or army you're interested in, I'll try to get details.

What is he looking to get for the entire collection?

Probably about a dollar a figure. But the buyer would pay shipping.

Why are my nibbles coming from people thousands of miles from a collection which I just said will not ship well?

Maybe they are willing to drive to get them. If I was interested, a 400 mile drive would mean little.

Can you post some pictures? Thanks How are figures attached to bases? Can they be easily removed? I once bought figures with contact cement to linoleum tiles. Took forever :(

Sadly, probably not on TMP, Bobgnar. The owner isn't particularly tech-friendly, and I don't have the connections to post on TMP if he were. But you appear to be within range. If you're OK with sending me non-TMP contact information, I might be able to get you two into direct contact. Possibly pictures. Possibly taking a look at the collections for yourself.

Mildbill, the drive for either fredavner or Cardinal Ximenez would be more like 2,000 miles--each way.
