The Society focuses on 19th Century Europe, from the end of the Napoleonic era to the beginning of the 20th Century.
Each issue of the newsletter, The Foreign Correspondant, contains articles on battles, uniforms, book and figure reviews of various armies.
Members of the society have published a number of books on 19th Century military history: Armies in Schleswig-Holstein 1848-49; Hungarian Independence; Garibaldi in Rome; Radetzsky in Italy; Franco-Prussian War, and technical monographs on the Chassepot and Dreyse systems.
The Battle Booklets formerly available from the society are now out of print.
