The Hobilar is the official journal of the Lance & Longbow Society, and is published six times a year.

The Hobilar covers the Medieval period from just before the Norman Conquest through the early Italian Wars (1040 to 1526). It includes articles from our membership, other medieval organizations, notes and queries, book and figure reviews; all enhanced by a colour section often containing medieval heraldry. Each issue runs 48 pages in length.

Our Society newsletter, The Scourer, contains convention dates, news, and special offers. It is sent with The Hobilar.

The Lance and Longbow Society has also arranged for our members to receive a 5%-25% discount from many of the leading traders in the hobby.

The Lance and Longbow Society also sells booklets by Freezywater Publications as well as their large range of flagsheets in 15mm and 25mm.

Our website is lanceandlongbow.com, and our email address is LandLSOC@aol.com. U.S. subscribers can order from the Lance and Longbow's U.S. agent, Robert Burke at Burker1@aol.com.
