Description
"The Battle of Sari Bair was part of the last major operation mounted during the Gallipoli campaign in 1915. It was planned, in combination with the Suvla Bay landings and Lone Pine/Nek actions, to break the stalemate that had settled across the peninsula. The battle was fought over several days. What follows is the description of the assaults that took place on the night of August 6/7, 1915."
