"Three weeks ago, Franck and I acted twice on the scenario concerning the assault on Vaux on March 7 and 8, 1916. The task is difficult for the two camps but the proximity between Vaux and the German starting line helps the attacker especially if the preparatory bombardment allows gaps in the barbed wire network."
