Miniatures Directory Definitions

This is where we explain what everything stands for.

Product Name is the manufacturer's name for the figure, model or product.

In some cases, manufacturers use different names for the same product - for instance, a long form of the name in the catalog, and a shorter form on the product packaging. We use the long form when possible, but sometimes truncate names to fit in our database.

In a few cases, manufacturers give their products generic titles and expect the consumer to know what they are by reference to their product line - for instance, "Archers" in a Medieval French product line can be inferred to mean "Medieval French Archers." To make our listings clear, we sometimes add the product line to the product name for a listing.
