Nerfed

Disparaging term for 'toned down' – implying that the subject has been toned down so far as to be rendered ineffectual, like a Nerf gun.
The term is often heard when players open the new edition of a game to find that their favourite force, faction or race has been revised and is now less powerful than it was in the previous edition.
